Recreational soccer is the cornerstone of our club. Players from the age of 5 to the age of 14 have the opportunity to learn skills, compete, and develop teamwork under the guidance of trained parent coaches. Recreational soccer is meant to be fun while fostering player development and interest in the sport. The primary goal is not to create amazing soccer players, but to give children a chance to experience the sport, exercise, and have fun.
Younger players in the club have the opportunity to learn and play the game of soccer in an environment which is meant to develop an interest in the game, focusing more on fun and less on competitiveness. Every child is expected to play 50% or more of the game time and the purpose of the games is not to win, but to have fun and learn the basics of passing, dribbling, and teamwork. Teams meet for practice once or twice a week.

The Menomonee Falls Soccer Club's Developmental Program is designed players who desire a more committed format than what traditional recreational soccer offers. The Developmental Program offers those players the opportunity to play at a higher level of training and commitment. Since a soccer player cannot become a good or great player without first acquiring excellent soccer skills, this program focuses primarily on skill development.
The Developmental Program stresses skill development, some basic tactical elements and fun. Since skill development takes time and is an ongoing process, this program strongly emphasizes correct and, over time, sophisticated ball training skill development.
The program is intended to provide a solid technical and tactical base of skills for all players. It is the program's goal to develop individual players to their maximum potential. The strong focus on skill development will enhance the potential to play in our top select programs, if they so desire.
The Developmental Program is not yet select soccer; however, this program is a great way to find out if select soccer will fit the individual player. No tryouts are necessary. Placement will result from sign up only.

Registration: $145* (Other fees are charged as season progresses, and will total approximately $395)
Once players reach the age of 10, they have the opportunity to tryout for a more competitive program, the Menomonee Falls/FC Milwaukee Select Program. The program is excellent for those players who wish to continue the development of advanced soccer skills in a more competitive environment.
Players can tryout for the Select program any given year, even if they've played only recreational soccer, if their interests and skills advance to the point where the Select Soccer Program is a better fit for them.
The Select Program requires a higher level of commitment from the player in terms of practice time, games, and tournaments. Most Select players continue to play year-round in indoor leagues as well.
Tryouts are typically held in early June.
For the age groups U-11, U-12 and U-13, MFSC has entered into a relationship with FC Milwaukee for the Select program, which adds a significant amount of coaching talent at a far less cost than trying to maintain a separate program.

The Micro Soccer Program (3-5 yr olds) and the Academy Program (6-10 yr olds) are open to all children, even if they are not
a member of the club. These programs are a great way to introduce your child to Soccer or to build your child's skills.
