Rules of the Game
The Menomonee Falls Soccer Club, as a member of the
Wisconsin Youth Soccer League, follow the rules of the
game as decided by the Federation Internationale de
Football Association (FIFA).

Field
Length – 25 yds to 35 yds
Width – 20 yds to 30yds

Goals
4’ x 6’ recommended

Game Duration
4 x 12 min.

Ball
Size 3

Play shall be 4 v 4 with no goalkeepers.  Players are allowed in the goal box but may not use their hands.

Per US Youth Soccer, certified referees are not required at this level and a volunteer parent is
acceptable.  Should a club schedule an official, it is their responsibility to determine and distribute
compensation.

All fouls and misconduct shall conform to FIFA and the official/coach must explain all infringements to the
offending player.  No cards will be shown for misconduct.

No slide tackling is permitted at this level.

All kicks are indirect.  This includes kick-offs, goal kicks and corner kicks.  All opponents shall remain
four (4) yards from the ball until in play.

There are no penalty kicks at this level.  Fouls or misconduct by a player in the goal box they are
defending shall result in an indirect kick (as noted above) for the opponent at the top of the goal box.

The throw-in to restart play shall conform to FIFA but strict enforcement is not required.  Extreme error
should be explained to the player and then retaken.

While final scores are not recorded, teams falling behind by five (5) goals may put another player on the
field.  Should the margin fall below five (5), the extra player must be removed.
